What is included in the Saturday wedding package?

The Saturday wedding package is a package we created in order to keep from requiring a minimum number of people in order to come out to your location. Saturday is our biggest booking day so this is why we reserve Saturday for this type of pricing. The $500 fee includes hair and makeup services for up to 5 people. So whether you have 1 person or 5 the price is still $500. This package has a built-in discount if you have 5 people requesting both hair and makeup services, resulting in $50 for hair/person and $50 for makeup/person.

What if I have less than 5 girls who want hair and makeup services for my wedding?

(The following only applies to Saturday events, all other days of the week are a flat $60 hair and $60 makeup fee unless you have 5 or more people and the price goes back down to $50 hair and $50 makeup). In order to prevent us from having to have a minimum number of ladies on our biggest booking day of the week the price goes up for less than 5 ladies. Here is how you can figure the price. Take $500 and divide it by the number (less than 5) of people who want both hair and makeup services. The number you get is each individual's price for hair and makeup services combined. For example, if you have only 3 people who want hair and makeup services then the price per person for hair AND makeup services would be $167 as opposed to the discounted price of $100 per person for 5 people.

What if I have more than 5 people in my party?

Each additional person over 5 is $50 for hair and $50 for makeup.

What if everyone doesn't want hair AND makeup services?

We reserve Saturdays for parties requiring both hair and makeup services. However, everyone in the party does not have to receive both services. The same rule applies as above for less than 5 people. But, this time you just divide the number of people, wanting the single service of hair or makeup, into $250. The result is what you will be charged for just hair or just makeup. For example, say you have 5 people who want makeup but only 4 who additionally want hair. Because there are 5 receiving makeup services the price is $50 per person for makeup, but because there are only 4 wanting hair services the price is $62.50 per person for hair.

What should I do to prepare my hair to be styled?

I like for hair to be freshly shampooed. While a lot of stylists like hair to be dirty, I feel that I can make your hair look the best if it has been shampooed that day. If you have very silky hair I suggest using no conditioner that day or very little just on the ends of the hair. Please also use a volumizer at the roots before you dry your hair that day and, if you know how, use a large round brush and dry your hair out using the round brush. If you'd like I can blow-dry it for you for $25 extra. This gives it extra volume at the root and gives me a better base to work with. You should also add an extra 25 minutes to your style time.

How should I prepare my skin for my makeup application?

You should make sure that all makeup including mascara is completely removed. Then just apply moisturizer.

What if my hair is thin or too short, what can I do to make it fuller or longer for my event?

I suggest a clip-in hair piece either by Jessica Simpson from Ulta, or the small sectioned clip in pieces that they sell at Sally's. You can contact us for more advice on exactly what to buy. A lot of what you see in pictures online, especially celebrities, are people wearing hair extensions in addition to their real hair. Hair extensions are not just for adding length. You can get hair extensions the same length as your hair, but just to help give you thicker hair for your special day.

Do you do trial runs?

Yes we do. We never book trials on Saturdays though. We suggest scheduling your bridal portraits on the day of your trial so you aren't all decked out with nowhere to go. Trial runs cost $60 for hair and $60 for makeup. However, if you are comfortable with just sending us a picture of yourself and discussing what you want over the phone we consider this a consultation and consultations are free. We can share pictures with you of work we have done in the past and see if it matches up with what you want for your special day.

Will there be a travel fee for my location?

Locations within Paulding County or very close by do not have a travel fee. You can email us to calculate your travel fee for you. We base the travel fee on distance.

How much time do you need to complete my hair and makeup?

We require 1 hour per person, unless someone has very thick hair then it may take longer for curling. If there is only 1 person it takes 2 hours. This is because if it is more than 1 person we are able to work on 2 people at a time. So if you have 5 people in your party we need to allot 5 hours for hair and makeup. We also like to add in a 30 minute buffer period.
